2025-2026 Adult Programs

SWTC is pleased to offer 3 adult group lesson programs (beginner, intermediate and advanced levels) presented by Scarborough Tennis Academy (STA) to all our adult members and non-members alike (members will have priority)! Whether you're a beginner looking to master the basics, an intermediate player aiming to enhance your skills, or an advanced player seeking a competitive edge, we have tailored programs to suit every skill level and ambition.

Private tennis lessons are also available to adult members and are only given by certified tennis coaches authorized by the Club. For more information and/or to arrange for a private lesson, please e-mail our Tennis Director, Cameron Lore at tennisdirector@swtc.ca.

Here's an overview of our Fall 2025 Adult Programs:

Beginner Adult Group Lessons

Ideal for those with limited or no experience.

Our beginner lessons are for players with limited to no experience. Level 1 players can expect the class to focus on sustaining a rally, hitting with solid fundamentals, as well as impacting the ball on time and with good positioning. For players who previously took part in STA lessons during the outdoor season, this level is equivalent to STA level 1.

Option 1:

  • Day: Tuesday

  • Start Date: December 2, 2025

  • End Date: February 17, 2026

  • Time: 7:00 pm – 8:30 pm

Option 2:

  • Day: Saturday

  • Start Date: November 29, 2025

  • End Date: February 14, 2026

  • Time: 4:00 pm – 5:30 pm

Cost for Members: $410 / 11 weeks (16.5 hours)

Cost for Non-Members: $455 / 11 weeks (16.5 hours)

* No lessons on Saturday, December 27, 2025 and Tuesday, December 30, 2025 due to the holidays. *

Intermediate Adult Group Lessons

Perfect for players ready for more gameplay and live point situations.

For our intermediate lessons, players should be able to sustain a rally of 10 from the baseline. The level 2 class will feature more gameplay and live point situations. In level 2, players will have their decision making and their ability to execute specific shots challenged and improved upon. For players who previously took part in STA lessons during the outdoor season, this level is equivalent to STA level 2.

Option 1:

  • Day: Tuesday

  • Start Date: December 2, 2025

  • End Date: February 17, 2026

  • Time: 8:30 pm – 10:00 pm

Option 2:

  • Day: Saturday

  • Start Date: November 29, 2025

  • End Date: February 14, 2026

  • Time: 5:30 pm – 7:00 pm

Cost for Members: $410 / 11 weeks (16.5 hours)

Cost for Non-Members: $455 / 11 weeks (16.5 hours)

Advanced Adult Group Lessons

Geared towards competitive players aiming to enhance skills and strategy.

Our advanced lessons are for players who are at least a 3.0 NTRP level. The lessons are geared towards players playing organized competitive match play. The class will help players develop physical skills required to feel comfortable hitting from anywhere in the court as well as tactics that can be employed against more skillful opponents. We will also focus on helping players make good decisions under pressure in both offensive and defensive situations and develop the anticipation skills required to take control of points. The class will have an emphasis on doubles play to help prepare students for doubles league matches.

  • Day: Saturday

  • Start Date: November 29, 2025

  • End Date: February 14, 2026

  • Time: 7:00 pm – 9:00 pm

Cost for Members: $540 / 11 weeks (22 hours)

Cost for Non-Members: $595 / 11 weeks (22 hours)

Our experienced instructors from STA will guide you through comprehensive lessons tailored to your skill level, ensuring a fulfilling and enriching tennis experience.

Registration for the Fall 2025 session opens on November 3, 2025, so sign-up early to secure your spot!

* Please be advised that all SWTC programs are generally non-refundable. Under certain extenuating circumstances (subject to SWTC Executive approval), a prorated refund for the remaining unused portion of a program (net of bank administrative charges) may be permitted. *

Adult Program Online Registration

To register for our adult programs, go to the SWTC Members Online System and follow these simple instructions:

  1. If you are a current Adult Member, log into your SWTC account.

  2. If you are not a current Adult Member, you will need to first sign up for a SWTC account as a non-member by clicking on “New Signup? Register for an Account” on the homepage of the SWTC Members Online System.

  3. Under the “Programs” tab, click on “Adult Programs” and select the adult program session you would like to sign up.

  4. Complete and submit the registration form. Your registration is not confirmed until you make your payment online using PayPal or one of the major credit cards. It is encouraged that you make the payment immediately to secure your spot.

  5. Your confirmed registration will show up in the “My Registrations” section of your “Profile” tab with a “completed” status. You will also receive a final registration confirmation e-mail.
